BB is short for “beauty balm”—an idea conceived by German dermatologists, and developed by Korean scientists, to soothe and disguise redness after aesthetic procedures.

BB Cream soon became a beauty secret in Asia and grew so popular, it is now available worldwide in a version that is part make-up, part skin care.

BB Skin Perfecting Cream SPF 25 is the product of nearly 60 years of Clarins science—a blend of the world’s leading skin care and make-up technologies into one time-saving, oil-free formula that evens, revitalizes and protects the complexion in one simple step. No other BB cream compares.

The primary purpose of foundation is to even out the complexion. A tinted moisturizer focuses mainly on skin care—i.e., hydrating and delivering a healthy glow, without providing coverage.

BB Skin Perfecting Cream SPF 25 exists at the intersection of make-up and skin care—unifying the complexion while revitalizing and protecting skin. It provides just enough coverage to even-out blotchy skin and hide imperfections, but is light enough for a “no make-up” look.

Although BB Skin Perfecting Cream SPF 25 contains Katafray extract combined with hyaluronic acids (two humectants that draw moisture to the skin), we recommend applying it over your Clarins day cream for best results.
