The woman
Andrea Jaeger was just fourteen years old when she became a professional tennis player, and only sixteen when she was ranked number two in the world. Despite her sporting success she wanted to do something more fulfilling with her life. After volunteering in a number of paediatric cancer hospitals, Andrea wanted to create a place for the children where they could get away from hospitals and be with others who were going through similar ordeals. This place would be somewhere to visit, a trip to look forward to.

Her fight: « Little Star Foundation »
Little Star Foundation offers many long-term care and lifetime opportunity programmes for children with cancer and children in need.

What about now?
The contact doesn't end when the children go home. Andrea's foundation keeps in touch with them through educational, medical, financial, emotional and hospice support, in hospital activities, reunion sessions, family retreats and scholarships, employment and ambassadorship programmes.
