Way to Glow!
Seven tips for professional
1 Moisturize before applying self tanning products.
2 Clear away dry surface cells with a twice-weekly exfoliating scrub.
3 Don’t forget your ears, nape of neck or backs of knees.
4 Avoid eyebrows and roots of hair.
5 Rinse your hands thoroughly. Twice!
6 Leave 15 minutes of drying time for your body; five minutes for your face.
7 Reapply self tanning products as often as you’d like—to deepen, even-out, or create a sun-touched look.
“Will my skin turn orange?”
With a blend of two complementary molecules—dihydroxyacetone (DHA) and erythrulose—results achieved with Clarins self tanning products are:
DHA, known for its yellow-orange effect, is neutralized by erythrulose, which delivers a soft brown tint.

“Will a self tan protect me from UVA/UVB rays?”
Self tanning products create the look of a beautiful tan, without stimulating melanin synthesis. The DHA and erythrulose contained in Clarins self tanning formulas colour the surface of the skin through oxidation, causing the formation of brown pigments, known as melanoidins. This illusion of a tan fades during skin cell renewal and offers no protection from UVA/UVB rays.
