Rated 2 out of 5 by LiselotteLA from It’s ok but not great It’s ok but it’s neither here or there. I prefer an eye primer with an applicator and this one doesn’t have one. The coverage is ok but it’s a bit like it’s floating above and you can see it rather than melting in and working like a nude color or solid primer. There was one before in a brush format. The best primer ever and this one doesn’t measure up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bepazhu from my new favorite I just bought this from Clarins website. Mine is the lightest shade. i think it is a great shadow base for Asian skin. It gives me a beautiful and even canvas for eye shadow. Sometimes, if it is too hot, I just wear it alone. And i feel good. i use it more than the NARS eye shadow base.

When I applied it, it looked like a dark makeup for a Mediterranean type skin, e.g. women with brown or black hair and a light brown skin that easily tans in the sun. I was expecting "Light" to be light, i.e. for North European type skin. It's useless to me, I can throw it in the trash.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Dodinh from Not that great I have oily skin. My eyes get hot and my I always have a problem with my makeup getting smeared by mid day. I normally use urban decay magic potion and most of the time it's great. There are a few times it smears depending how hot the weather is. My friend tried the clarins eye base cream. She raves about it. So I tried it. First off I don't like how the base color is dark. It's darker than my skin color. Then the 4 times I used it, I looked like a raccoon by mid day. My eye liner and eye shadow smeared. Was not a good look. I gave up and stopped using it. Hopefully I can find a better product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by StillNoDiva from Good Coverage This eye shadow base does the job - it evens out the lid's skin tone and allows shadow to stay on much longer than it would on its own. The consistency is a bit thick, though, and I had to learn to pat it on gently (and quickly!) rather than trying to blend it by rubbing, which is probably not good for that sensitive area. I might like it a little better if it were a bit more emollient and not as thick, but it does what it's supposed to.
