Orange tree

Native to Asia, the orange tree is a hybrid species resulting from a cross between the grapefruit and mandarin tree. This evergreen shrub with thorny branches can reach 33 feet in height. The fruit of the orange tree, the sweet orange, is a berry with a tough, orange skin and is widely eaten and recognized for its high content of vitamin C. On the surface of the fruit are pockets containing an essential oil, which gives the fruit its distinctive fragrance. Organic orange* extract is used in Clarins cosmetics to soften the skin. *Organic ingredients are produced in accordance with European regulation (CE 2018/848).
