The power of plants

Its popular name, “Venus’ Basin,” clearly illustrates the beneficial role of the teasel plant. The rainwater and dew that collect in the hollow of its curved leaves is a source of drinking water for birds and, in ancient times, women would collect this “heavenly water” before sunrise in the belief that it would enhance their beauty.
