<p><strong>The woman</strong><br />Christine studied in the United States and as an individual, was always outraged by racism and violence. She decided to travel around Africa and Asia where she encountered many underprivileged children, and it was here she decided to take action through the creation of her association. Her first operation &#171; Draw me a bicycle &#187; enabled 62 children to acquire a bicycle to travel to school.</p><p><strong>Her fight: &#171; Meharees &#187;</strong><br />This association has developed programmes to support and improve the conditions of 10 very deprived schools throughout the world. Today, 5,000 children are now equipped with computers (30 per class) and regularly communicate with each other thanks to a specially-created website and a symbol-based computer language. Each of these children has become a true citizen of the world and has learned to get to know the others better.</p><p><strong>What about now?</strong><br />This desire to share and learn about new cultures continues with the creation of a mini-magazine called "Latitude Sud"</p>
