The woman
At a young age, Céline already knew that she wanted to combine her desire to help children with her passion for horses. Having earned a degree in Clinical Psychology, one day she met a little boy who wanted to play with her dog. "He was wearing a baseball cap and he didn't have any hair. It was clear that he was battling cancer." In the hours that followed this chance meeting, the "P'tits Cracks" association was created to reach out to seriously ill children.

Her fight: « Les P'tits Cracks »
Giving a child a reason to smile again is what motivated Céline to create her association in 2001. In collaboration with the Paediatric Cancer department at Trousseau Hospital in Paris, the association helps to improve the daily lives of young patients. In October 2002, "Les P'tits Cracks" donated money to help finance an air-conditioning system for the two floors that house the department because in paediatric cancer wards, windows cannot be opened due to an increased risk of infection. Installing air-conditioning was a priority but the hospital did not have the budget.

What about now?
The association is now working on renovating the consultation area, installing parent-child rooms and renovating the dark corridors that lead to operating rooms.
